Great question! Locate on demand can extremely handy when you need to know where your valuable is at any given moment .



For "Locate on Demand" to work, your settings must be set to Optimized for Responsiveness , and the feature must be available in your region. (To understand this see Understanding GPS modes - Optimised for Battery VS Responsiveness).




If you are using any mode other than "Optimized for Responsiveness," including Motion Only Mode (Ultra Low Power Mode), you can't locate on demand. Therefore, to ensure you stay updated when movement occurs, we recommend enabling the Motion Sensor (accelerometer). For more details, refer to  Using the Motion Sensor.




Steps to undertake.



On the APP:



1. Open your app

2. Click the GPS device you want to locate

3. On the map page, click the refresh icon on the top right hand corner as shown in the picture below.

4. When you press the button, you will see the option to Locate Once or Continuously.  Continuously means it will keep giving you location every 20-30 seconds for 5 minutes. Once again, do note, this will only work in Optimized for Responsive mode.






On the Portal



1. Open manage.theairbolt.com and login

2. Click the GPS device you want to locate

3. On the map page, click locate button (as shown in the picture below)

4. When you press the button, you will see the option to Locate Once or Continuously.  Continuously means it will keep giving you location every 20-30 seconds for 5 minutes.
