The motion sensor (accelerometer) in the AirBolt GPS is extremely handy and can even help greatly extend your GPS's battery life. Understanding it's features will help get the most out of your AirBolt.
Essentially, the motion sensor is used to detection motion. There are multiple settings you can manage. These are outlined below.

Motion Sensor Settings:
Sensitivity:
Set the sensitivity by choosing a number from 1 to 10. The higher the number, the more sensitive. This means smaller movements will trigger it. The lower the number, means larger movements will be needed to trigger it.
Re-Alerts:
HANDY TIP:
The accelerometer can be used to notify you of movement however, it is also an opportunity for you change the settings on your device. For example, should you get an alert and want to suddenly track your GPS more regularly, simply go and change the report schedule - do ensure you do this quickly before it goes back to sleep again. NOTE: You can use the accelerometer for multiple applications from pets to bikes. We do recommend trying a few different settings experimenting to find the right combination for your use case.
Using the accelerometer with "Optimised for Battery" turned on.
The accelerometer is a great tool for when you have Optimised for Battery mode switched on or if there are no lower power network features available in your area.
As mentioned, the longer the interval is between location reports, the greater your battery life will be. However, what happens if your GPS moves in between that interval?
This is where the AirBolt's Motion Sensor comes to the rescue.
Simply enable your motion sensor with settings suited to your needs and it will alert you of movement in between report intervals. This way you save battery and don't miss any important movements. When it does alert you, remember in the above mode, you can only change the settings when it is awake - so if you need to increase reporting frequency etc, now's your chance to do it. Typically the window to make a change stays open for a minute or two. To understand more about what we are talking about and the Optimised for Battery mode, you can read on here.
