We are continually improving the AirBolt GPS through firmware updates. We recommend checking periodically for the latest firmware to ensure you have the newest features, improvements and performance updates.

Before Starting the Update

Please ensure:

  • Your AirBolt GPS has at least 70% battery.

  • The GPS remains plugged into power throughout the update.

  • The device stays near your phone with Bluetooth connected.

  • You do not disconnect, unplug or interrupt the device until the update reaches 100%.

How to Update Your Firmware

  1. Ensure your AirBolt GPS is nearby and connected to power.

  2. Open the AirBolt app.

  3. Select your AirBolt GPS.

  4. Make sure the device shows Bluetooth Connected before continuing.

            5. Swipe up on the device menu to expand it, then select More Settings.

  1. If an update is available, an Update button will appear.

  2. Select Update Firmware.

If Your GPS Does Not Report After the Update

Occasionally, following a modem or firmware update, the GPS may need to fully reset and reconnect to the network.

If your GPS is not reporting correctly after updating:

  1. Remove from charge

  2. Press and hold the button on the AirBolt GPS for approximately 20 seconds, until you hear three beeps.

  3. Leave the GPS powered off and undisturbed for approximately 1 minute

  4. Connect the GPS to power and allow it to start charging for another minute

The device should then reconnect and resume normal reporting.
